Hi all ,
we recently moved to woodlands and looking to buy a house. We like the new community coming up in creekside village , it is affordable and in many way fits our needs. But biggest problem is there are no schools near by and our kindergartner has to go to tomball elementary for one year atleat and is 8 mails away. With in creekside they are planning to build elemntary school in fall of 2008.It comes under harris county and tomball school distirct. I heard that woodlands schools are very good and comes under conroe isd. I have no idea how to compare and which school is good for my child. Can any experienced parents please guide me. Other option we have is to buy the house for same price much smaller house with in woodlands good schools areas. which will be better?

School districts, span across different counties. Tomball ISD serves Creekside Village and you will pay Tomball ISD taxes. Most of The Woodlands is served by Conroe ISD, which already has schools in The Woodlands.

Both schools are very good. The scores in The Woodlands are higher, BUT you will find a more "real world" experience in Tomball...and that is what raising kids is really about.

Right?

Tomball ISD just passed a construction bond, in part because of the Creekside development, so the schools will come-online in 2008 at the earliest.

Good Luck.
