My youngest two were born there after moving to the Houston area. We are insured, went there because it was my #1 choice in Houston--BUT, I know many women who are w/o insurance choose it because the overall cost of an out-of-hospital birth is so much lower. They opened 6 years ago, and recently built a brand-new facility, doing really well. I had waterbirths with mine and it was peaceful and wonderful and my family was there, this after I had my first in a hospital and just hated it. PM me if you would like to know anything else.
