Hey all!

My insurance will not kick in till january 2013 since I was added to my husband's ins.

1) I am looking for any recommendation for doctors in the medical center, memorial hermann SW or even pearland area.

2) since i no insurance right now, I will pay out of pocket to see the doctor since I am 4 months pregnant. visit such as checkup, routine/ultrasound. I have called a few places and they range from $500 to 850 (it's what I expected so it's ok) depending if the office wants you to pay each time or put you on some plan. Once january 1, 2013, my insurance will kick in.

Anyone know where I can go that's semi-affordable? Thanks!

There is an awesome birth center in Pearland:

Birth center, midiwfery care, natural birth, breastfeeding, women's care

My youngest two were born there after moving to the Houston area. We are insured, went there because it was my #1 choice in Houston--BUT, I know many women who are w/o insurance choose it because the overall cost of an out-of-hospital birth is so much lower. They opened 6 years ago, and recently built a brand-new facility, doing really well. I had waterbirths with mine and it was peaceful and wonderful and my family was there, this after I had my first in a hospital and just hated it. PM me if you would like to know anything else. I highly recommend Bernadette Olivier.
