Good for them. I hope the residents will be able to afford maintaining things. Thats why it gets run down in the first place.

This is pretty amazing. Starbucks donating 22 million to give some life back into the 5th Ward community is inspiring, along with those employees volunteering their time out in the sun to take on this effort. This is the type of charity we need to see so much more of...charity coming from the community and from free enterprise. Not a bunch of questionable checks mailed out every month. Heck, I feel like getting off of my butt right now and think about how I can help a community out!
