That's pretty cool. I really like the idea of smaller type of grocery store where prices are decent. I need one closer to me though.

Two of those will be right next to old houses of mine. I guess after I move again, they will open in Pearland.

Loved Sprouts when I lived in California. Sure wish they open one down in the clear lake area.

I noticed that they are hiring already, so I expect they will be opening very early 2013, if not a little before.

The old Randalls' space in Copperfield is a regular-sized grocery store. They may be doing them larger here.

Default Grand Opening, Katy store

From chron.com

Sprouts Farmers Market set a date to open its first store in the Houston area: Wednesday, March 27. The 25,000 square-foot store at 23105 Cinco Ranch Blvd., the first of five slated to open in or near Houston, will host grand opening specials:
A bag of groceries for each of the first 200 shoppers
100 loaves of fresh-baked bread will be given away randomly throughout opening day
In each checkout lane, every 15th shopper will receive a coupon book
Each shopper will get one Sprouts reusable bag at checkout
A health-themed event will beheld before the grand opening on March 26, featuring activities for kids such as rock climbing, an inflatable slide, Hula Hoop contest, Double Dutch Team demos and live music.

From their facebook page:

Check this out! We've partnered up with Lifetime Fitness At Cinco Ranch, Katy Tx to host Sprouts Health Fest the night before our grand opening! You can get a sneak peek of the new store before we open our doors for shopping, enjoy samples, a local vendor fair, cooking demonstrations plus there will be a rock-climbing wall, an 18-foot inflatable slide and a hula hoop contest for both kids and adults! Sound like fun? Meet us in the parking lot at 23105 Cinco Ranch Rd. anytime between 4-7pm on Tuesday, 3/26!

The one at Spring Cypress and FM 249 looks close to opening too. I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Sweet! We shopped at a Sprouts in Phoenix while visiting family. Houston really does need more stores like this. They beat the pants off Whole Paycheck.
