There are school districts which do "residence checks" to make sure the child is actually living in the apartment he/she says is his/her home. How many of the kids actually live in these apartments?

Aside from the ethical problem of lying about your residence, the OP lives in Pearland, but in the part zoned to Alvin ISD. I highly doubt that s/he wants to move or to have an apartment in another part of Pearland so her child can go to jr. high and high school in PISD.

There is an application process and it is *possible* that she might get him into the jr high she prefers, but she would then have to transport him to the new jr high and it will not be the one closest to her since that one is overcrowded and not accepting transfers.
