Is it just me or is traffic getting worse & worse every single day? I don't even go into town anymore to any of the "Houston hot spots" because if I do, I better plan on staying there until at LEAST 8pm on a Saturday & even then, there could STILL be traffic. Good Lord, tell me I'm not the only one who notices the awful driving & traffic conditions on freeways like 10, 45, 59, & 610?

MAKE. IT. STOP.

I hear Detroit traffic is pretty light...then again that city is dying. If you can't stand the traffic move in town and walk.

With all those people moving to Houston, because it's a better place to work and live... what do you expect??

Yep.

Stop it media! They act like Houston is just tossing people jobs like peanuts at a baseball game. Hello? You're hired. It's not that free-wheeling.

Traffic is getting worse. Our sad sack roads can't handle it. I sure as hell can't handle it.

There really is no city with light traffic. If you want light traffic then you'll have to move to a much smaller city. Traffic is just something you have to get used to. I put on some good music and try my best to not let it get to me. It also helps to live close to the city instead of commuting from a far out suburb and if you live in a far out suburb try your best to find a job there and also enjoy whatever nightlife they have to offer.

Definitely getting worse on the westside. But most of the backup is caused by those living farther west. The development in Katy/Richmond is amazing...and yet they still work downtown.

Adding extra lanes to 290, 10, and 59 also won't help. There really is no magic solution to make traffic light on the west side of town. People just need to think smart about where they decide to live. If you don't want an awful commute than just live close to where you work.

What would help is if Texas had a law that allowed motorcycles to spit lanes as we do in CA.

I had never seen this before and the first time I did see it I thought it was nuts.

But after moving here and trying it myself I can't imagine not being allowed to do it. You will never sit in traffic again!

When everyone is crawling to and from work in the morning or evening I am just zipping along with all the other riders never sitting in traffic. It can be done respectfully and safely. I have been doing it since I moved here and have had zero issues doing it.

Texas should trade the no helmet law for the lane splitting law. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lane_splitting

And neither one of these riders is me! I have my own footage but have not edited it to a size to upload onto Youtube.
