Is there places where you can take a bag of coins to be counted? I have a bag of coins and banks want me to roll up the change for them.

Have you ever been to a grocery store? They have a coinstar machine up front. There is a fee.

Coinstar at Kroger will do it for free if you are willing to accept the $$$ on a Kroger card.

Most of the bigger grocery stores have them. Don't know what their fee is although I have a feeling it's about 10%

If you were in SA, Corpus or Austin, you could join the Security Service Credit Union where they have FREE coin counting machines for their customers. It's a really cool feature. Maybe there's a similar credit union in your neck of the woods that offers this service?

I've seen the coinstar machines and they charge almost 10% and issue gift certificates...that expire. At least the machine I used. I didnt realize there was an expiration date.

I shop at Kroger so I'll look around there.

Some Amegy branches have free coin counters. I've used the one in Bellaire.
