Well, we have accepted the job, and settled on the area of Sugar Land! I've been scouring HAR.com for homes, but it's hard not knowing anything about the area at all, except for what I have learned from you awesome people.

So, please teach me some more!! Best neighborhoods? Areas to stay away from? Best schools? Missouri City?

And... go!

Sorry, can't help with Sugar Land specifically, but welcome to Houston!

What's your price range? That will be the biggest deciding factor.

City Love is correct. If you have a nice size budget, I'd suggest Riverstone or Sienna Planation. But I'd refer expertise to someone else. my mom lives in Colony Lakes right in front of Riverstone and loves it.

Anything off of Commonwealth and Sweetwater Blvd is a good neighborhood.

I'd be safe and get a home in any of the first colony neighborhood in sugalrland/missouri city. Strong hoa that will keep up the neighborhoods.

PLEASE-- if you have a comment, put it out here where everyone can see instead of sending it as a "Reputation Comment" When you do that, I can't see who to thank for the tips. Also, others can't discuss and add to your comments.
...
Unless there is some reason why you do not wish to post the comments that you can make anonymously? In which case, if you can't say anything nice.....

Go to Har.com. Use the "Subdivision" slot as well as define your price range. Type in these areas:

New Territory
First Colony
Brightwater (very nice neighborhood, which is actually Missouri City, but borders Sugar Land)
