Are there any places within an hour or so of Kingwood where I could take my daughters to ride a horse?
My younger ones are 4 and 6, they love horses, always like to sit on the horses at the fair that trot in a circle.
They're not ready to ride completely alone, but are there places where they could at least have a closer contact with them?
Thanks

Take 'em down to Trail's End stables right there in Kingwood! I think they do riding lessons too. I used to go there all the time as a kid just to go pet the horses. I loved it!

Deer Ridge Park?
Wow, I didn't even realize it was so close.
Thank you very much!

Yep, down at Deer Ridge, in fact, right before it goes to the two-lane kinda funky road (if it's still there) there's a turnoff to the right, it's by the Ag facility I think. They used to have baseball fields over there too, though they're probably gone by now! It was always kinda peaceful there. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Hope it works out!

There is also a new dog park over there and an ultimate disk (frisbee) course

Also, cowboy city is close by (off of 1960 in Humble) and looks like it would be a cool experience for the kids
