Hi guys, I work around Bellaire & Beltway 8. I'm trying to find a clean and affordable 1 br apartment around the area. I've seen few around there but everything seems to be old and a little bit of dirty. I had bad experience (mainly bedbugs and cockroaches) before in apartments so cleanness is the most important criteria for me. I'm not looking for fancy places , just clean and low budget.

I looked the apartmentrating.com, some of high rating apartment does not look as well as I expected...
The leasing offices always show me the sample rooms which is not trust worthy. I guess the most reliable source would be here by asking people who had actually live the apartments.

Thanks for all your guys' replies in advance.

No kidding! I was kidding around because that's Chinatown (although a lot of Vietnamese live there as well.

Give us a little more info on what you are looking for. Do you want to be close to town? What's your budget? Do you like going out at night? Those kinds of things.

There's a million good places to live in Houston on almost any budget.

I need to work pretty early in the morning so I want to find somewhere close to have some extra sleep .
Cleanness is the most important criteria, after this, I would like to keep budget low (below 700 everything included if possible).
It doesn't matter if it's close to town or not. It would be sweet if there's nice pools for lap swim and good route for 8 mile running. I'll go out at night twice per month perhaps...

Sorry for late reply...

Well, I don't really know the market price for a clean apartment...
As long as it's clean and close to work, not necessary need other things. what's the reasonable price range?
