Yes I am aware it’s no longer a golf course, but walking/biking trails are just as nice, it’s like a big open park through the backyards, I saw some kids flying kites out there-seemed very peaceful. Like I said the danger doesn’t scare me at all, that’s anywhere you go, it’s the fact it’s a different school district than what my kids go to🤪

My understanding is that there are three ways:
  • The state Legislature writes an act that forces the districts to consolidate and the governor passes the bills into law (although I am not sure if the Texas Constitution has additional requirements or requires a referendum?)
  • Voters in both districts receive a referendum on consolidating and a majority of voters in each district pass the bill into law
  • Specific areas in Aldine ISD petition to transfer into Houston ISD and the leadership of both districts approve.

It ain’t happening so move on as many talk the talk but few walk it

The trend is buy urban, take over the elementary school and ship to private/magnet after elementary.

The houses in Inwood Forest are of really good quality, especially the homes that back up to the former golf course but I don’t see that area ever making a comeback
