Hi guys,

I am new to Houston. What places (cafe/bar/lounge) inside the loop (Galleria, TMC, WestU, Heights, Montrose/Washington) would you recommend to take a girl for a date? I would like it to have sofas so we can sit together. Music should not be very loud for comfortable conversation. It would also be great if it is not very packed usually.

Thanks in advance!

Nothing more romantic than an obscene amount of grilled dead animals on a stick.

Nippon, a more authentic Japanese restaurant on Montrose near 59. More "intimate" setting. Small.

Marfreles (if it is still there) has sofas - but you'd need some serious sanitizer to sit on them.
