Can anyone share info on this specific area in 77079? Saw a house that looks appealing online but it is all a guessing game until we get out there for a visit. I will have 3 boys in school when we relocate - 1st, 4th and 6th grade. Thanks for any input!

I thouht you'd get a response by now so I'll bump this with my 2c. It seems to be a nice little neighborhood but appreciation wise you'd be better off south of memorial in NFVIII or Westchester if you can swing it. Also, perhaps a small thing, your kids will be cut off from most of the other kids at your zoned elementary by a major street. Nottingham elementary is nicely tucked away in NFVIII/Westchester for the kids to safely walk or bike to school.

Found this for you, do a forum search on thornwood for more:

Yes, Thornwood is in 77079, but it's a little removed and farther out. Look at the Nottingham Forest and Nottingham subdivisions.
