Taylor High School areas... Near east Katy. The High School is rising once again in socio-demographics over Cinco and Seven Lakes.

How does Taylor H.S. compare with Cinco Ranch H.S. & Seven Lakes H.S?

Seems to be doing pretty well, if not better comparatively to other schools in Katy.It should more than work unless you want the Asian pressure of Clements in Sugarland. Which according to many teachers is backfiring in many different ways.

Always do your own research. tour the school

Even living in Memorial, all of our families now go private. so take my views with a grain of salt.

You may want to look into the City of Katy. Their are several communities that may work for you. You would not have to worry about a possible City of Houston annexation. Being in the Katy city limits you would be less than 5 minutes from I-10.

Their are also some smaller communities to look into. I have lived in the City of Katy for years and love it. Good luck in your decision.

I wish I made your kind of money. I am working my a$$ off and hope to be there some day. No desire for the Clements pressure. I desire hard working & goal-oriented but healthy & well-rounded positive kids.

OK. Taylor H.S. looks good enough. What are typical homes like there and their prices? Also, is this in Harris or Fort Bend Co? If I will be in unincorporated Houston ETJ, I'd at least want to be in Fort Bend County. Unicorporated Harris Co is truly a free-for-all ugly hodgepodge. Or has that area already been annexed to the city of Houston?

Taylor HS areas are built out as of 1985..you'll be fine. Not FT. Bend , but Harris. Many areas east of Fry Rd. to look at. Greentrails being at the top of the list. Not sure, but I think that area is COH, just like Memorial.

Totally understand the well rounded kid theory. Gen-4 Houstonians in our family are headed to many great schools including: W&L,Duke, Wake Forest, UVA, Stanford..next round go next year...none wanted the standard UT route. Free thinking, entrepreneurs, not lab tech types.

Private school, B students that not only can charm their way out of a box, but could market the " new" box.
