Except HWY6 is the most major north/south road the WP Tollway runs into from 99 to BW8. I understand not having an exit for every surface street, but come on, that seems like a very "unwise" decision by somebody at TXDot.

Again another design flaw. Why did they only build it with 2 lanes each way. I understand that the original ITB portion had a tight right-of-way, but couldn't they have built it with 3 or 4 lanes each way west of BW8 or 6 with a major interchange where that ROW ended?
Because Metro owns the other half of the ROW. They owned the entire thing before selling half to the tollway authority. The other half is suppose to be a rail line, but we will see how that goes.
