Dude just get it done or go to http://www.tintdude.com/forum/index.php and get some real expert advice. You're in the wrong forum for tint guidance. Seriously. Or you must be bored?

How do I know how much light or dark color tint will look good on my car?

I can wrench on a car all day, but tinting windows is an art. I watched a Youtube video of a guy who blew through measuring, cutting and applying the film in no time... made it look easy. So I bought the kit and tried to do it myself, but quickly ruined it and left a big mess to clean up.

On my old cars I had Solar Gard put on and it lasted many years, didn't fade or peel or anything. I got them done at a little shop near 610/Telephone. For the next cars I a place on Fuqua/Hwy 3 that uses "Sol Control" film. I'm not sure where that stuff comes from but it looks good and after a couple of years it's holding up fine.

Just find a shop, look at the color of tint to make sure it isn't blue or green, ask for 35% all around and be done with it. Most cars have 70% tint built into the glass. 35% X 70% = 25%, the darkest still legal.

FWIW this is my son's car that Gman did with 3M tint I'm pretty sure it was. It is legal tint on the fronts and the next shade darker on the rest. Still looks new 5 years later except for the spots hit by the seatbelt.

The darker the tint, the more cooler inside?

The color is not everything (I've heard that somewhere before )
It also depends on the material that is made of, I've heard that the best is "ceramic" window film.

Here's some information about 3M window film
the second one is their ceramic series

The nano films have surpassed the ceramic films from what I have read. Go to that tintguy website. I think my film is a ceramic film. Which explains why it is from Saint Gobain which is one of the largest ceramic manufactures in the world.
