I don't go to ghetto areas, but from what I understand Houston has some rough areas like cities tend to do. Rougher than the rest? Too subjective solely based on looks...

So about Houston's poverty?

Did you look at the link?

Your point is rather silly when you look at the Census Bureau and compare US cities of the similar size. Just silly and a waste of CD space.

Here I did the work. See how silly your post is?

NY 19.4%

Chicago 21.4%

LA 20.2%

Houston 21.5%

She has pointed out that every big city has a similar poverty rate. That's pertinent to your inference that, somehow, Houston is different than other cities of similar size.

poverty in different cities may look a lot different than in Houston, I never said that houston has higher poverty rates than other cities, i said that houston poor areas look worse than in most cities that i've seen. And they cover a large area.

Some people think im trying to bash houston, when im really not cause i like the city.

So what

And if it really bothers you that much why don't you just volunteer your time or money to help clean them up? Vs. wasting space on CD?

You see blight, others see investment potential. Of course, the poor will be displaced but I'm sure the good folk of Cross Creek Ranch will take them in.
