Hi everyone,

First of all, these forums have been immensely helpful in my family's search for a new home in the suburbs of Houston, so thank you all!

We are in the process of moving to Sienna Plantation from Northern California, which I'm thrilled about. My question is this: are there any dog parks in Sienna Plantation? I did try Googling it, but I didn't find anything. If not SP, what are some of your favorite dog spots? We have 2 friendly yellow labs who have a lot of energy and love to swim.

Thanks for your help!

No dog parks in Sienna (although it's very dog friendly as long as you keep your dog curbed). Not sure if it's open yet, but there is supposed to be one at Kitty Hollow Park which is right across Hwy 6 from Sienna:

Woof, Woof – new dog park to open at county

Otherwise, the closest that I am aware of is in Riverstone but I believe that is residents only.

The one at Kitty Hollow opened a few months back.

Be careful of dog parks, some folks' dogs have diseases and such. Your dog's paws touch the urine / dropping residue and that's not a good thing.

The DFW burb I live in, I take my dogs out for off the leash runs each nite at schoolgrounds after dark. The cops are friendly and don't mind as long as (a) school's been out for a few hrs, (b) your dog isn't a nuisance. I doubt every city or burb has such lenient police towards dogs off leashes, even if accompanied by you.

But for me, I won't take my dogs to dog parks

Just wanted to update that the dog park at Kitty Hollow is indeed open. Daily from 7am-dusk.

Features separate fenced areas for small dogs & large dogs, both offering water feature/lake for dogs. There is also a hose/watering area to bathe pups before the ride home For more info: FBC Parks Dept - 281-835-9419.
