What security system monitoring company would you recommend in the Houston area? ADT advertises a lot, but I suspect there's better service out there.

ADT is expensive. They all are about the same quality.

Which don't require a contract and still provide quality service if you already have an installed system? I don't know what ADT charges monthly, but their cancellation fees are obscene and seem borderline criminal!

Smith Thompson.

Cost is more during initial install but the service rates make up for it.

I recommend Smith & Wesson. Beretta is also a fine option.

Smith Thompson is the only company I know of in the Houston area that does not charge extra monthly for cellular monitoring. For me, that's the way to go.

Fourth Smith Thompson. Only about $17 a month. No complaints.

I went with Frontpoint. It's lesser known but is highly rated. I haven't had any problems.
