Looks like the Lone Star College bond referendum failed this past Saturday, largely due to the negative Montgomery County results. Thoughts on why? Even though it would not have directly caused a tax increase, I think folks are just tired of the endless spending. It did not help that we all just recently received our increased property tax assessments, which already funnels significant dollars into that system.

Interesting. I thought for sure it would pass due to the stated no tax increase. How would they have paid for the bonds without a tax increase anyways? Increased tuition rates?
