This is Houston's tallest proposed building. Do you think they should build it in times like this or just scrap the idea as a whole because it doesn't seem worth it anyways (because the lack of it's design)?

Build it: Yes/No

Personally I'd love for something this tall to be built in Houston downtown- but I'm saying no. It lacks something in it's design- and why bother right now when the city can put their money to better things.

EDIT: By the way, if you have any pictures of other towers proposed in Houston area you're free to post pictures/information about it.

Knowing Houston it will get built eventually. After all the "unofficial" bird of Houston is the crane.

Yeah, the city always finds a way to get it's limited list of proposed towers built one way or another. They're good at that. But the tower all in all is alright at best.

I don't blame you if you did.

Yeah, I would but I want to be the bigger person. (If they make me really mad then I would)

It could end up being a signature tower for Downtown Houston. We won't know till it gets built. Most of the time they never turn how exactly how the renderings look like anyways.

As long as the vacancy rate stays the same as it is now, it can happen.

I remember seeing this proposal a while back. It's really hard to tell exactly what the building will look like from the limited renderings I've seen so far. I hope they'll release some detailed renderings at some point. It looks like it will be tall enough to stand out nicely in Houston's already incredible skyline so I hope they build it!

This has been proposed for a few years now, so to me, anything that has been proposed and stalled for 2+ years is pretty much dead, so I can't really say.
Personally, I love it, it would update a part of DT Houston that hasn't seen any notable changes outside of the 600 ft. 1500 Louisiana St. and the 453 ft 717 Texas that were both built this decade, and this part of DT definitely needs a tower of this size so it doesn't seem as if Houston's skyline hasn't changed since the 80's, even though it has.

And the scale is really bad here, the tower won't be this massive, but gives you a good idea.

Most proposed projects in Houston usually flop.
