I was just wondering if there were any hike and bike trails on the north side of I-10 in the Addicks Reservoir? I know about Cullen (one of my favorites) and a few smaller trails in the Bear Creek area. I have looked and looked on the internet but haven't found much information. I see a government road on google maps but I am guessing we are not allowed to cycle on it?

I see how much hike and bike traffic goes through George Bush Park on the south side of I-10 and wish more trails would be added on the north side of the reservoir. It is a huge chunk of land just begging for a trail system to run through it!

I've taken my bike to the Addicks damn (levee) at Clay Rd. Then biked, the damn/levee to the south of there. You can ride north, but the damn peters out in only about a mile, before you get to Tanner Rd. This is not a "designated" hike and bike trail, but it works out nicely, and I'm pretty sure you can ride all the way to Eldridge Prwy and maybe even to Hwy 6, but am not 100% sure of that. It is mostly gravel, or was when I last rode it a few years back..

But I don't believe there are any "designated" trails in Addicks, outside of Bear creek. But you are right it would be prime, until it rains that is...
