Midtown is developing like mad. That area of midtown is really bad though. I do think that the greyhound and other bus stations will hold back that area. I have no clue where they would move it to. Being honest no one wants a bunch of poor people around. No area will want them. It is unfair to toss them aside. I pass by that station every so often on the way to get my car serviced. I also, used to hit Sammy's which is around the corner from there. I never felt unsafe. I read an article about Megabus causing traffic issues.

Exacly, that is why there are homeless people begging for change over there - claiming they want money for bus fare and such.

As many as 40 released prisoners per day are dropped off there daily, a lot of them released on parole. I'm not saying all of them will commit crimes again, but some do.

I imagaine you would see 50% less homless traffic in that area if the Greyhound station were to move. Someone bought the Old Central Bank building, so that's a start. However, no one wants to have a business or live by a grehound station.

I wouldn't mind living next to a greyhound station. I would move into those condos today if they were not so tiny.

What's a suitable location that can fulfill all requirements? Suburbs aren't a good solution...We know midtown, Washington is out because the yuppies now want a Mayberry environment...

The station does attract vagrants 24 hours a day....do they move it to East Downtown near BBVA? Ship channel?
Next to Lakewood Church,
it has nice access to both sides of the highway and is not in downtown.
