If someone mows at 8 a.m. that doesn't bother me, before 8 a.m., I'm irritated.

It depends on how hot a scorcher day it's gonna be. In July, August you can start earlier. Chances are you won't be out there alone.

I hate it when people do it before 10am during the weekends on a nice day, especially after a long week. I'm up early but I'd love to have a quiet morning. In the hot summer days, early would totally make sense.

9:30 now and just heard a lawnmower start up....I just woke up about 30 min ago....glad they didnt start any earlier..

I actually started cutting my grass in the evening for a few reasons.
1. It seems cooler
2. I feel bad cutting it early in case I wake someone, (I dont wann a be THAT guy)
3. When I finish, im normall tired and doing it at night is perfect to put me to sleep. I dont like being tired all day cause I did yard work in the mornin...

If it was up to me I'd say 10 am, especially since I often work late hours. But for the general populace 8 am seems acceptable. The lawn crews often start at 7:30 on the weekdays.

The lawnmowers bother me less than the dogs barking at each other at break of dawn. Wish there were HOA rules about that! At least with lawnmowers, they usually don't start until 8, but the dogs go at it as early as 6:30am and sometimes in the middle of the night if something startles them.

I'd be mad if I was awaken by lawnmower sound. I think the earliest I've heard is 10am, that is the time I do it since most of my neighbors yards are done by lawn specialists.
