Maybe there is a coal mine nearby, never too early to instill a good work ethic.

Not too privileged! We only got the stick.

Check out Blessington Farms. They have strawberry/blueberry/blackberry picking, a hay ride, chickens, and other assorted activities for kids. Go early though, because it gets hot.

I have a two year-old and she loves going here! Great idea.

She also loves the play area at Memorial City Mall. The food court there is very nice for lunch as is the carousel. Katy Mills Mall is a decent backup too; play area, carousel, train, and a Rainforest Cafe.

I second Memorial City Mall. That's a great way to spend several hours. There are so many things for toddlers to do.

The tot spot at the Children's Museum is also nice but it is always very crowded.
