Anyone have any idea what the plans are for the huge area adjacent to the new Kroger/Academy area?

We have heard rumors that Lowes might be going there, but then again we heard they may be moving out by the new Santikos Theater on 99.

Looked like there were stakes out in the area off 1093.

I heard Lowes, as well. While we're talking about growth in this area, do you know what is going up on Spring Green across from the gas station?

The NE and NW corners of Spring Green and 1093 were purchased years ago by Thor Equities. The original plans (calling the development "Shoppes at Cinco Ranch") called for the Kroger as an anchor on one side and a proposed Lowe's on the other. After threatened litigation with FB county (over the 1093 ROW, I believe), Thor eventually sold the NE corner and last year I noticed that they were marketing the NW corner for sale. Recently I saw a new plat and subdivision of the property, with 2 owners (Thor keeping part ownership). The new development is called Crossing at Cinco Ranch. The latest plans on Thor's website has removed the proposed Lowe's (but the plan still shows what looks like a large anchor with a garden center) and all other retail names that were once listed are gone as well. They have added a proposed Walgreens (the only named retailer). A search for crossing at cinco ranch only yields the new plat.

On an somewhat unrelated note, that Santiko's is a pretty nice theater. We went on a Saturday afternoon and they weren't that crowded. I still hate the movie theater though.

It looks like the proposed Walgreen's at the NW corner of Spring Green and 1093 will start construction fairly soon. Saw a bidder's list stating bids were due on June 14. With that anchor secured, we should start seeing the rest of that development coming to life.

Any idea what is being built in front of the Kroger on 1093?
There's a Sonic being built and a Bank of America, but then there's another building going up next to it.

Thanks, any idea what's being built in the strip center on 1463 right outside Westminster Lakes North?
