Anyone excited? Or hoping that that they'll finally be let into Downtown?

Not sure I get the concept. Purpose of a mobile food source is to go where the people are, not the opposite.

I understand a monthly sampling event though.

Default Meh...

EaDo as they call it may be happening for people who live in EaDo, but I don't know if there is a hunger (pun intended) for people to drive to EaDo. There are enough scattered in Montrose on the weekends, I think people will stay close to where the clubs and bars are.

BTW, the allure of food trucks wore has worn off for me... it was not too long ago that a food truck was cool because it was fresh, good and most importantly, cheap. The 'hipification' of food trucks has caused them to become trendy, and is reflected in the price. For as much as some of them charge, I will take my money and spend it in a restaurant where I will be waited on, and have the comforts of AC, bathroom and guaranteed place to sit.

I don't have a problem with most of the food trucks. What I do have is a problem with some of them charging $5 for a taco or some kind of thing called of a reconstructed french fry platter.

I like food trucks. Many offer things not available in restaurants.

The 2nd Ward doesnt need more food trucks.

And those trendsters are mimicking what they do in Portland and the Bay.

Meh, I will check it out because I live there but doubt I would ever take my lunch break and drive to it. I agree with Oildog, kind of defeats the purpose for me if I have to go to them.

I hit up the trucks within walking distance of my office in Montrose frequently though.

It is good for EaDo. Not sure if I personally care.

It would be great if they can get a scene going like Austin's South Congress. It used to be a ghost town when I lived there but now it's got music, food truck park, great shops and restaurants. But South Congress is geographically much more accessible to folks than EaDo.

I like the idea of going with a few people and everyone having a diverse selection of food to choose from (sort of like a mobile food court). Like what you do at a festival. The downside is that the prices are definitely creeping up, and I hope they have some fans!
