Houston, it's no wonder people consider us as one of the fattest cities in America, although we are certainly active, and its so damn hot that people sweat a few pounds sitting in a car or stepping outside.

Because some Houstonians seem to proclaim it to the whole country!

Dwight Watch 2013: Kolache Factory Ups The Ante For Dwight Howard - Houston - News - Hair Balls - Page 2

And now that it's on the front pages of Yahoo, Houston will definitely have a harder time shedding that stereotype.

Y! SPORTS

Besides, Dwight isn't even that great, he still needs superstars around him to perform, are we really going to sink to proclaiming ourselves fat? Or is has this HoustonPress writer caused each Houstonian to collectively smack their individual hands onto their own respective foreheads?

I don't see the problem? A chain in Dallas says they will give out free food to Dwight and the locals if he signs there. Then the Kolache Factories in Houston say they will do the same? What are you butt hurt about?

They should have gotten some kind of candy or dessert store to do it, Dwight is known for having a major sweet tooth.

Plus did you even read the article? HFP was basically saying nobody can compete with the food we have here.

Are you upset because the WE ARE FAT!!! joke hit to close to home or something?

Edit: Hell the yahoo writer that reposted the HFP article to Yahoo and added his own comments even took it a step farther and said this

"With Dwight now receiving courtships from Los Angeles, Houston and Dallas, some local tastemakers are pulling out all the stops. If Dwight wants chicken fingers, one Dallas restaurant is offering the 27-year old chicken fingers for a lifetime.
If Dwight wants something a little more, um, age appropriate? Houston’s foodie community is stepping up quite nicely"

A lot more places than Kolache factory have offered him free grub and services

"Along the way, on my show, Dwight was offered everything from free barbecue (Beef & Bun BBQ) to free calzones (Nick's Place) to free burgers (Hubcap Grill) to free pest control (McGrath Pest Control)."

That is weird, Raising Cane's is actually based in Baton Rouge, LA; they have a regional service office in Plano but they have several restaurants in Houston as well.

By the way, if Dwight Howard's decision is based on food, I will put my money on Raising Cane's. Those chicken fingers are addicting.

My cousin and his wife LOVE Raising Canes. They think it has the best chicken tenders ever. Just the menu items mean arteries are slamming shut.

I think that Dallas offer must be a hoax. Everybody knows chickens don't have fingers.

That's okay. Whataburger tweeted out #Dwight2Houston so we win.
