I've seen numerous threads about solar screens vs. tint. This is not a thread about that, and I've seen the recommendations for the tint places.custom solar screens . I've seen so many businesses advertising these, and I hate to just pick one randomly.I've had good luck with recommendations from this board so...any recommendations?

I concur. This year is near-normal for Houston. I for one am not complaining. I would check Angie's List for solar screen people. We do have solar screens on our windows and I believe it does help keep our cooling costs down.

Maybe I'm just overreacting because this is my first year as a homeowner and those bills are something else. I'm always happy when it rains as well...free lawn watering!

My co-worker got some high-end window film - he said you can't see it on the window - doesn't obsure anything at night and that it made an immense difference in his bills. He said you can't even feel the heat coming in anymore.

No! I thought I preemtively put the kibosh on this! I'm looking at both but I know where to get the tint because of earlier threads.

I just got solar screens installed on my house...the guy is very nice, professional , courteous , timely and reasonable..
