I'm planning to start making jigsaw pictures and am looking for pictures of Texas landscapes and ranches. I would appreciate all suggestions on where I can go to shoot some nice pictures in the vicinity to Houston.

Oh boy, that is a big question. I love the area around Bellville, La Grange, and Brenham. I also love it around Centerville and Madisonville (north of Huntsville). If you go now you still may be able to catch some wildflower shots. Get off the interstate and main roads and find those back country roads and drive. Getting lost is half the fun.

Yeah, you get some rolling out past Conroe, Brenham etc. and gradually more the closer you get to the Hill Country. Highway 71 going toward Austin, Bastrop etc. but wildfires there burned a lot of trees.

Thanks for the advice. Planning on going for a drive Sunday. Brenham sounds interesting.
