Not a bad price if you're looking for a quick trip to Paris. Air France is better than United, that's for sure

These fares are valid for departures August 25, 2013 through October 24, 2013.
Tickets must be purchased before September 12, 2013 11:59PM EST.
There is an additional $20-$30 weekend surcharge each way.
A minimum 10 day stay is required and a maximum one month stay is permitted.

Anything is better than United at this point :-) But Air France is actually decent, I would say better than British Airways

Default Lots of deals after August

The airlines know parents are not looking for trips after school starts, so the prices come down, sometimes by half. I can only dream about the great trips we used to take before our kids started school... April/May and Sept/Oct trips are always nice in Europe.

It's all relative I suppose. Either you don't fly TATL much, or you fly too often if you don't think $900 is not a good fare. Fares since May have been about $1400-1600 from Houston to Paris. Gone are the good old days of $500-600 fares we used to enjoy not even ten years ago, and when Continental had service directly from Houston to Paris. United did away with that nice route, so now you have to pay more for the priviledge of making a stop in either Newark, DC, or Chicago before Paris. I'm glad AF still flies out of Houston. They also still serve free alcohol on their flights.

Ive seen flights to Ireland for $800 from Bush in the last few months. Prices are coming don. My avg used to be $600 to Ireland and went up to about $1200 for the longest time.

Turkish Airlines started to compete lately - I saw some good deals to Europe.
Looking for a good deal to Germany myself. End Sept/beginning Oct flex.

I've got the travel bug lately and this sounds superb!

But I'am willing to travel through Europe, any other destinations that would be cheaper?!?

Thanks!

This is a great price out of Houston, but depending on the time of year and destination, I could still sometimes save a few $s going to visit my friends in NYC and flying international from there. I've never flown Air France, but my friends seem to love it.
