I saw this a few years ago while looking at google maps. The pool is more like a pond. Well, it is up for sale. There is some type of motorized pontoon boat in it. You could easily have a jetski in it.

What a dream!

Here is another... a quirky one, the sale that is. Hillsborough mansion for $100 million, cash down/upfront, but no moving in until the current owner passes...

That is one tacky house, but I'd gladly take the pool.

Who wants a house with only 3 bedrooms, but 8 full baths and 4 half baths. That is just weird.

I'd say it's pretty obvious that this home is for someone who entertains a lot.

Or maybe they just like bathrooms. I'd have four or five kitchens if I could.

I am guessing really old people live there by the furnishings. I did not notice it only had 3 bedrooms. It has 11000sqft. The game room is 76x23. This house will be on the market for a long time is my guess. If in fantasy land I had the money. I would bulldoze the house and keep the outdoor stuff. If you can afford 14mil you can afford to build a new house.

Nicer exterior than interior. I really want that study, though - 31X17 with built-ins. Sigh.

On the other one - does the owner have to die of natural causes?

All the house needs is some redecorating (much like the hair of the listing agent), and it would be quite awesome.

Notice that the neighborhood monthly maintenance fee for this house is $3,400? The property taxes would be around $30,000 per month. So essentially, you couldn't give this house to me to keep.

That was my thought too. Granted, I'd prefer to live in the country, but if I had to live inside Houston, that would be the way to do it.

Currently it is taxed at 99K a year. Hcad has its value at 5.5 million. Most places in River Oaks are really undervalued in hcad. It annoys me that hcad hammers cheaper homes and lets expensive homes slide by millions of dollars. I read a story about some home in River Oaks on Lazy Ln that is valued at under a million dollars. There is no home on that street worth under 12million.
