Is it against a local ordinance to camp on it overnight? If not can you have a camp fire?

There is a burn ban in Montgomery county right now, normally camp fires are exempt from burn bans and I can't imagine anyone giving you a hard time about your camp fire. We've camped out there many many times, never with the water as low as it is right now though. You could just about walk out there over Labor Day weekend.

Wow, so you've actually camped there. How was it? It would seem like a great cheap 2 day vaca camping trip with the wife and dogs. Fishing, boating and camp fire.

It's got a boat dock but the water is low and it's better to just beach a boat. It's probably 400ft long by 150ft wide. It's nice and shallow around it and it's big enough for many people with tall trees for shade. If you zoom in all the way that is closer to how it looks today.

It was great, we camped out there one night while doing some night time cat fishing in the lake. Again, the water was at least 5' higher than it is right now so the island was a lot smaller.

We had a camp fire and about 8 people, we had a blast.
