Planning on Hiring Contractor for Patio Cover + Deck - average price per sq ft? (Galena Park: house)

I'm planning on calling a few ppl and getting estimates from them sometime next week. What is the average price range per sq ft for what I should be looking at. I'd like to work on the patio in 2 phases, first the patio cover only, next the slab/pavers/wooden deck.

Patio Cover:
approx 35 x 15 = 525 sq ft
Shingle covered 'dipped' patio attached to back face of my house. 2 electrical outlets for fans.

Flooring:
I'm still deciding on what type of flooring, but it will be the area underneath the cover. Is it a bad idea if I end up going with concrete after the posts for the cover are put in?

I live near Galena Park, any recommendation for ppl y'all have worked with?

Did you ever get this done? I am looking to do about the same thing... Since its fall, might combine both steps into one.

Let me know... also, a quick run down of the cost / contractor you used will be helpful.

I am looking for one too now....finally decided to get the patio ... Bonus gone..

We just put one in for around $17,000 total for wooden deck, cover, columns, fans, paint, shingles, etc. We live in West U and to get the permit approved by the City we had to get an architect to draw it, an engineer to approve it, and it had to withstand certain wind speeds and include hurricane clips. It looks great though. Contrator Paolo Passaro.

We just one had one completed as well, about $30,000 for foundation, tile flooring, fans, stucco, paint, roof, etc.... We are in West U as well. PM for our contractor if interested. It was more an extension to our house than a deck though.
