We've had a lot of rain over the last week which has made everything a huge mess and slowed progress down to a crawl.

I went out yesterday, and my mud puddle is beginning to dry back out. I think it should be back to relatively solid ground today or tomorrow for sure (assuming no showers pass over).

I'd much rather wait 2 or 3 weeks more for the project to be finished than to have work done in "questionable" conditions.

I plan to order my grill and other kitchen accessories next week. That stuff is pricey.

Here is the grill I've chosen:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0070U0KIK/...I3G8NLE1P2X6X8

Not that expensive when you compare to others, but still.

Oh, and they put in the 8 x 8 cedar posts for the outdoor kitchen structure. Those things are massive.

I fell in my pool, while standing on the coping of the spa, when my first pool was at this build stage. I narrowly missed the stubbed out drain pipe, and landed square on my rear end, in that nasty water. My spa was in the deep end.

Totally off-topic, but those pics brought back some memories! Your pool likes like it's going to be beautiful when done! Just be careful walking around it for now...

Very nice Pedro.
So are you only a week or two away from plaster?

That's my guess.

Friday they poured the concrete deck. I'm GUESSING they'll do the cool deck after they plaster the pool.

That's how mine was done. Concrete deck poured, pool plastered, stamped overlay done last.

Concrete has to cure, then they'll do the decking then plaster, then topcoat if you got the fancy splashy extra finish.

Cool deck is just like stucco on a home. Concrete base, and then topcoat tinted and applied to that.
