Josh Innes... love him, or hate him, he's now leaving. I can only hope the show improves! It got to the point where I would just turn off the radio when I heard his voice.

Heard he's being replaced by Sean Pendergast of 1560. I like Sean but pairing him with the difficult to listen to Mr. Lord...ugh.

You're barking up the wrong tree. Money drives radio and money says there is no interest in an equal distribution of white and non-white sports personalities. The same goes high school sports air time. Don't you think radio would cover more high school sports if the demand was there? Advertisers aren't going to pay for airtime unless the station is giving major coverage to the heavy hitters in sports: Texans, Rockets and notable college programs. Listeners don't give two craps about Yates or Lamar high schools.

And I can actually think of two black broadcasters on the air in Houston now. ND Kalu and Jerome Solomon. And Lopez on 610 is Hispanic. While demand for non-whites in local radio is quite low, there is diversity.

But please do continue with your straw man argument. It is quite laughable.

No more J and R? I wonder what they will call the new show? The Astros and Texans have been so bad this year I hardly listen to sports radio anymore.
