I bet they are making a killing.
And where is this so called place that increases their gas prices that much???

LOL.

I go with what has the best staying power.

It's illegal to use water but I'm convinced Valero is about 50% water. When I fill up there the gas burns REAL quick doing nothing different than usual..

I get Shell or Kroger. At Shell I get to use my Kroger Rewards points. Plus when I stop at Kroger I always see every Mercedes, Audi, BMW Porsche Cayenne's and what not there so if they're putting it in their tanks my car's pretty much in good hands. The same with Shell.

I think it has more to do with the actual station owner than the brand name of the gas. I'm not sure if the franchise regularly inspect their franchisee's tanks and so they can put the bring the best gas but once it settles in the dirty tank it is drastically changed.

And Kroger Reward points are awesome. I wish I was able to use other people's points as I've seen folks that leave their receipts behind and they have like 2000 points so it doesn't appear that they ever use them. Unfortunately there is no way to obtain their phone number without having access to the Kroger member database =\
