Price per sq ft will depend on location, custom nature of home, builder chosen, materials used, and size of home being built.

There are numerous Custom builders you can pick or you can find a build on your lot builder like David Weekly, Coventry, etc.

Too many factors to consider when building a home. Need more info.

I would search "build on your lot builders Houston". They can give you a better idea of cost per sq ft.

If you just want an idea I would say plan on $110 sq. ft. but if you need a more exact price call builders. Frontier is a good one and Trendnaker has a build on your lot section you can see prices in their website.

Bellaire & Meyerland I would estimate somewhere between $110 - $150 sq ft.

Any experience on how long it usually takes to build a house . Also , is there a charge to demolish an existing house ?

4-6 months to build a house but expect longer since materials are in short supply and labor is hard to find.

Yes, there will be a charge to demo a house. Usually your builder can establish that connection with a demo company or work that into your price.

Isnt it always better to buy a home already built? Especially in Meyerland when there is so much inventory ?!

This question greatly depends on the quality and area you want to build. A custom home in west you will probably run you 200-300 sqft to build. I am sure it is cheap in the burbs.
