Definitely ask the HOA before you do anything. The last thing you want is some fire breathing dragon busy body all over you making your life a misery if you do something against HOA rules.

Often when greenery is removed, its to clear the site for another building.

Is the green space a power or utility easement? Center Point has been known to come along and cut everything down without warning if it is within their easement.

definitely not building anything here. they only removed the shrubs and bushes. the trees are still there.

My guess is Centerpoint. Once the cold weather is over, plant some crepe myrtles along the fence and fill in the spaces between with shrubbery. Myrtles are fast-growing - and with the bushes, will eventually form, a screen.

Once HOA approves it. We've only lived here a few months..not sure how strictly some of the deed restrictions are enforced.

It would help to see an updated picture of the area. I wouldn't be surprised to see another building going up.

Check with them, but most don't tell you that you can't plant.
