Don Luis was a local celebrity in south east Houston. He played his violin for free almost every day at woodridge and 45. He wasn't a bum and didn't need the tips like some people assumed. He just enjoyed making people smile. RIP Don!!!

What happened to him? A few months ago, he was hit and robbed but then I saw him right back out there a couple of weeks after.

how long ago did he start playing at that intersection....i used to frequent that area a lot and don't recall ever seeing him.

I am not sure how he died. At least a few years. He was also at telephone and 610 quite a bit

still doesn't ring a bell.... i used to live off of Dumble. and i was always around the telephone/wayside/woodridge areas pretty frequently. he must of been around when i moved out of the area which was aronud 7-8 yrs ago.
