I'm not Catholic, but my kids spent time in a pre-K Catholic school because of it's reputation for learning and discipline.

IMO, one parent needs to work fairly close to home.

The traffic on 290 will be a mess for a couple of years during construction. I'd still get between 249 and 290, so he doesn't need to use it. Some place like the newer parts of Lakewood. That will still give you easy access to Beltway 8.

Most elementary schools are fine. No need to be concerned regarding high schools unless you intend to be here for 10 years.

Easy access to the Beltway and 290, shorter commute to Chinatown, and about 15 minutes away from HP campus during rush hour. Some recommended subdivisions in this area include Jersey Village, Woodwind Lakes, Laurel Creek, Willowbridge, and Stonebridge, zoned to Gleason, Post and Reed elementary schools in Cy-Fair ISD.
+1, these neighborhoods are ideally situated for accessing both work locations.

Any one familiar with the schools and crime rate at cypress area near 290? 290 is only 20 minutes from HP office and it looks very well developed (both residential and commercial). Also, is the traffic very bad on 290 between Barker Cypress to Belt 8 during rush hour?

thank you all for the info.
