I have been lookin at houses to rent in and around Houston, Pasadena area. On one website I saw a lot of house to rent in central southwest houston by waterloo and selling area. I am from Missouri so I don't know much about the area. Can someone tell me about this area or should I stay away

Southwest Houston is a long way from Pasadena. Tell us what area you will be working in, and what your budget is, $1000, $1200 ect.

Houston is a very large city (larger than New Jersey) and commutes are a big deal. You may be able to find rents on www.har.com

Pasadena is on the east side near the ship channel. You should be able to find stuff there for $1000/month or less. SW side may be too far.

There are several central offices. I work in Telecommunications. I have lived in Galveston before and I am aware of the commute. I travel about 30 miles one way to work now.

OK. I'm going to change title of your thread to Waterloo area to get a better response since you are familiar with the area.
