well theres the 'mix' in the west/sw far suburbs and theres the mix in places closer in like Alief(aka International district) where the "ethnic races" are more at home and dont need to conform to "white-flight" rules.

the majority of suburbs in the Houston area are multi diverse, multi dimentional and have all kinds of nationalities living there...from what I remember, there were over 100 plus languages being spoken here in Houston, from Chinese, to Arabic to pashto to swahili to creole.

Im sure in your global travels, you know that different ethnic groups like to congregate among themselves, so that they have a support system around them, and its no different in Houston....point to an area of the city, and you can pinpoint a specific group of minorities that live in/or near the area.
