When we looked on the FBISD side, the builder told us any children now go to Fort Bend schools (Feb 2013). We didn't really look into any further than that as it was a deal breaker for us. He also told us that a FBISD school would be built by the time our family would need it, but I wasn't going to bank on the promises. I'm glad we didn't.

The current FBISD zoned schools are Briargrate Elementary, McAuliffe Middle, and Willowridge High. I do not know if the Alvin ISD deal is still in effect but it's likely been discontinued.

I wonder if this is hurting home sales on the Fort Bend County side.

Considering that the elementaries and middle schools in the SCR area belonging to Alvin ISD are already overcrowded due to the growth within their district, I doubt this deal is still allowed. Alvin ISD is currently initiating rezoning of schools for some of the subdivisions in the area (like mine, Southern Trails), due to the overcrowding.

I do know that it is not the school alone but also home when it comes to good education but it is unfair to have children who parents work hard to assure they have a good education, be placed in a school where resources are not equally distributed. I live in the FBISD part of Shadow Creek and my daughter will not start Kinder until the 2016-17 school year and I am concerned. I am thankful to have WACA as they are awesome with instruction. I would just like my little one to start and finish at one school and not be hopping when FBISD decide to re-zone every year. Stability is very important in children.

How can you be a graduate of a school that was not built yet.

Shadow Creek Ranch - Schools

I have visited Perryhomes in Shafow Creek Ranch this weekend and liked the houses in the edgewater 60's. However i quiclkly found that the elementary school over there is.pretty bad (FBISD) My wife and I dont have kids yet and it would take almost 5 years to send my kid to the elementary school. Now the question is will they build a new and better school in scr for fbisd in near future? Or should i take risk and wait for something good to happen?
