I will be relocating next Jan/Feb 2008. My company office is located in Waller TX. I would not like to be too far from HOuston, but also not have a bad commute to waller as well. I need help. I heard about Champions but I am not familiar with the area. Does anyone here know if this is a good area for a family of 4? What about schools? Please HELPPPPPP!!

Great area, I've lived here for 28 years and love it.

Yes, great area. Nice homes, good schools, big trees. Great people.

There are a couple dozen nice neighborhoods to choose from ranging from brand-new to older more established custom home communities. Check out homes in the Klein and Cy-Creek school zones. If you're commuting to Waller, you may also wish to check out homes in the "HP Corridor" and North Cypress as well. Do an HAR search on homes in 77379 (Klein), 77069 (Champions), 77070 (HP Corridor) and 77429 (Cypress).

Much of your drive would be "against the rush hour traffic" so that might help too.

Thank you! That was exactly one of my next questions...so I would be going against the heavy traffic right?

By the way, we are looking to rent a townhome or house , initially, since we actually do not know much about the city yet. Is there any place with townhomes you could recommend?

It is a very nice established area with plenty of nice homes large trees and great entertainment. School district is great as well. Significant portions of the affluent 'Champions Area, which is also considered part of Klein, are zoned to the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, the 3rd largest school district in Texas.

If I was working in Waller, I would probably live off 290, not 249. Coles Crossing, Fairfield, Longwood, Wortham, etc.

Does your significant other have to work in Houston? If that is the case, Jersey Village is halfway between those two points. Otherwise I'd just make the drive to Houston from Waller and vicinity for fun things to do.
