At least Indies... Houston does have so much diversity, I think you can film almost any type of film and find what is needed... plus, Houston/Texas does not have to deal with all negative aspects of the unions on the same scale as say California, or New York.

"I think Houston will be the indie capital of the world in five years," Afser said. < quote from OP's link

This may be overstating the possibilities but I like his spirit ! We will see.....

Louisiana is the third coast, as far as movie producing states go. Just sayin'.

As I said in the "Dallas becoming the next Hollywood" thread: No.

There may be movies produced there, but Austin will be favorite among movie makers in Texas.

The Gulf Coast has always been known as The Third Coast. Lousiana doesn't own the rights to the whole Gulf Coast.

You'd think that would be obvious, but, believe it or not, many people argue that the Chicago/Great Lakes region deserves the title of the "Third Coast".

Third Coast - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I guess the fact that Houston and South Louisiana have the nation's most important ports is simply irrelevant.

The Gulf may technically be in the Atlantic Ocean, but that doesn't make us the East Coast.
