Hello all,

I have done my best searching old forums and doing online searches, however I have been unable to find Houston herb stores that will meet my current need.

I will be visiting a friend overseas very soon and she has asked that I bring specific herbs with me. I am totally unfamiliar with herbs and therefore this is quite a task for me. I am looking for a store that may carry the following herbs:
  • Boswellia
  • Cats Claw
  • White Willow
  • Camu Camu
  • Yohembi
  • Horny Goat Weed

I haven't the foggiest idea how to find these odd-named herbs though it has been suggested that I visit the Beltway 8 & Bellaire area for the Asian Markets

Any and all advice is appreciated!!!

Thank you

I think you asking for all kinds of trouble trying to get "herbs" through Customs. Good luck - better be prepared for some potential major delays in your schedule!

You can't bring agricultural items through customs.

It'll be in a pill form....
Try wholefoods, they should have most of those.

You can also try Lucia's Garden. If they don't have it they can point you in the right direction.

Can't your friend just order online? If they don't ship to wherever they live, you can order online through Lucky Vitamin or Vitacost, both with excellent prices You can get Cat's Claw (Una de Gato or also called Samento) at HEB for cheap. It is NOW brand. The best form is probably through Nutramedix in liquid drop form, called Samento. Is your friend treating/supporting something in particular?

Thank you everyone for your responses.

My friend has been playing sports in the middle east for quite some time now and I am assuming he would not request that I bring anything that is not allowed through customs. However, just to be sure I may call customs to make sure. I certainly do not want any issues when I arrive.

I'm not exactly sure why he cannot order these herbs online, but I will definitely ask after going through all this!

I am going to try the suggested places and see what I can find. Wish me luck!
