Yes, settings are not expensive to make. The trick is getting the stole loose not from a jeweler. No reason to eat that markup. DeBeers has done enough to artificially inflate the price by about 20 times what it should be. If you want to really do the leg work. I would call around to some Pawn Shops. When gold prices went through the roof everyone melted all the settings. I am sure lots are sitting on stones. They will have sent off them to be rated if they are of decent size. As I said earlier in one of my posts. There is no such thing as a used diamond. Just don't tell her where it came from If they don't have one of size they can probably point you in the direction of someone that does. It is worth a shot. Sorry, I can't direct you to the right person anymore. I have not done any of this since HS which is when I took a GIA course. Jeez, I might have been in middle school. I would do some more google research too. It is amazing what google can turn up. Maybe there is a jewelers board somewhere. Maybe some kind of loose diamond thing. For the extra size the sex might last six extra months before she cuts you off from sex and quits working out.

I believe it is jls? She has an office in a galleria tower and just sells loose diamonds but you can arrange to have different settings and band. She has all the catalogs for those. Dont go to a regular jewelery store

Egah! Your gf wants a ring like that? Tell her beauty is in simplicity and quality

If I were you I'd buy a loose stone online & get your setting made. More bang for your buck & you can always ask for a video/picture of the diamond if you are afraid. Blue Diamond, Brian Gavin, James Allen, Union Diamond, B2C, & Brilliance are great vendors. Good luck in your search.

Whiteflash.com

They are similar to Blue Nile in price, but they actually have a brick and mortar store in Sugar Land. Check their website for what you want and tell them to have it on hand so you can come by and see it. They sell loose diamonds as well.

I've heard good things about Brian Gavin. He is also based in Houston, but does not have anything you can actually look at.
