So I am entertaining the idea of relocating to the Houston area due to my job which would be in the Galleria area. I am looking for an area that would be great for myself, husband and 3 year old. I have heard about Sugar Land, Pearland, Richmond - any one have any feeback as to those areas? We will be looking for a home around 180-190k and hoping my husband can find a job close by as well. He is currently a Automotive Service Manager for the last 4years. This is all so new me, I have never even been to the Houston area before so any suggestions would be wonderful. thank you in advance.

For your budget, I think Pearland or Richmond are reasonable bang for your buck. The commute will be fairly long from both areas. You might be able to get into Missouri City, which is right next to Sugar land. I don't think you can get into Sugar land with your budget! but I may be wrong.

Do a search on har.com.

Maybe Stafford? I don't really know the Sugar Land prices. Something out 59 because it is a pretty quick drive. Katy is a rough commute from the Galleria. Just search for something near Sugar Land.

Are the Stafford schools considered to be at par with Sugar Land/Mo City FBISD ones? I wonder if the creation of the Stafford municipal system has had a negative effect on the city?
