Why do you feel you need to be on the left lane?

The things I ve seen
Cell phone yappers
Texting
Holding the phone as a map
Read the news
Fumbling with the glove box
Put on make up
Eat fried chicken
Dancing grooving to the beat

Why do you feel you need to be on the left lane? We are talking about freeways and highways

I just want to hear from houstonian drivers as well as texas drivers.

I am just guessing here, but perhaps it is because we are in the Top 3 driving (quantity of drivers on the road) cities in the country? And no matter what, the percentages play out that there will always be bad drivers. Unfortunately, we just have to deal with it.

In Houston, there are a lot of immigrants (and not just the illegal ones). I'm not sure if they do not know the "rules" of the road. When I have to finally pass someone up in the right lane because they will not get out of the left lane, I will glance over, and they are usually completely oblivious to what is going on around them. These are the same people that will cause accidents or get in an accident and say "I never saw them coming!". No, you just weren't paying attention.

The left lane is for passing and going fast. I repeat, the left lane is for passing and going fast. Stay the hell out of it if you don't plan to do those things!!

People just don't pay attention anymore. Everyone on the road drives for themselves.

I still say its the immigrants and out of staters who are the main culprits. I remember how crazy and fast people used to drive in the 90s. Now I see idiots going 60 when there's hardly anyone else on the freeway

This doesn't need to be reiterated for Houston traffic. Y'all should go to San Antonio or the valley and drive down there. Pretty sure y'all's blood pressure would go so high you'd have a stroke having to wait behind slow moving left lane drivers.

In San Antonio I was driving home after work (up I-35 to NE San Antonio)
I heard an ambulance coming and first thing I thought was
"Let's see what happens now"

Believe it or not.... I saw the ambulance driving for at least 1 mile on the left shoulder of the highway.
